"The Aurora Winterfest brings residents and visitors together to celebrate the culture, history, and heritage of the northern region of Manitoba,"http://www.pch.gc.ca/pc-ch/infoCNtr/cdm-mc/index-eng.cfm?action=doc&DocIDCd=CR082710
This annual event features local artists showcasing fiddling, square-dancing, singing, and jigging. It also features Aboriginal drumming, snow sculptures, igloo building, dog mushing, and other traditional winter activities.
The 14th annual Aurora Winterfest takes place from March 16 - 25, 2012, at many venues in the town of Churchill. Many local artists will perform in various artistic disciplines or in heritage presentations.
What a fantastic time we are going to have!
